What's up everybody! Thank you for landing on my channel. I am proud to be bringing over 25 years of landscape, turf management, fertilizer and soil amendment research and development, and insider industry knowledge to this channel. As the owner of Greene County Fertilizer Company, I wanted a channel that was not directly related to my company so that I could share on more topics, answer questions about a multitude of products and concepts and be an overall resource for all you turf and landscape lovers.

Dry Lawns are FINISHED.
Dry lawns are finished! Today I want to show you two new tools to help you in the fight against dry lawns. Pro turf managers have used materials similar to this for years to manage localized dry spots and cure hot spots on professional turf. Soil surfactants and wetting agents have many different chemistries and functions. We have chosen chemistry that works in the widest range of soil types. Summer heat and drought conditions will be lessened on your lawn without having to water excessively.
Hydr8 granular is a unique entry into the marketplace and is quickly becoming adopted by the professional turf industry. The use rate is 3-4lbs per thousand for standard apps every 60 days or 10lbs for localized dry spots. The bag options are 10lbs and 40lbs.

Hydr8 Liquicure is available for DIY in 32 ounce and gallon sizes and pros in sizing up to totes. App rate for DIY is 3 ounces per 1000ft and the pro strength is 1.5 ounces per thousand feet.

BACK to Lawn BASICS! NO MORE ELECTRIC LAWN EQUIPMENT
Переглядів 5 тис.День тому
I'm going back to lawn basics (or basic lawn care?) and ditching my electric lawn equipment for good. I have sold, given away or tossed out all of my toro 60V tools and have replaced them with gas equipment from Stihl and Husqvarna. I have also retired my automower (robomower) and am only using my gas lawn mower this year. Why? Power. Easy power with out a limit on how long I can run it. My law...

I saved hundreds doing this and I'm shocked at how well it worked. This year I've been testing out lawn dyes, paints, glues and other odd items this year to see how they look and how effective they are at solving problems. This black mulch dye from Petra is pretty freaking great. Black Mulch Dye amzn.to/4c2tJ3M It usually costs between 1100-1600.00 just to "refresh" all of my mulch beds. it's n...

smooth snake oil sales pitch extraordinaire
Hmmm. You clearly haven’t done any wetting agent surfactant research have you?
How much is these products?
Cheaper than Hydretain and cover more ground
Needed this about 3-4 weeks ago! Lawns in my neighborhood in Maryland are torched now.
Question… please Honest answer: When you reached out about the issue with your head not working correctly, did you mention that you run a UA-cam channel where you discuss Lawcology and that you would be posting about this Irrigreen system? Or did you approach them like Joe Schmo and truly wait to see if you would get the response a normal consumer would get? Why was it different for you than what you say others have stated about the lack of customer service?
They know who I am, and I know that they’ve been filling customer support positions. They are aware of their own short comings with staffing. But that problem has been for the most part solved.
When can this be ordered?
What kind of sprinkler head is that at 3:20??
Irrigreen www.irrigreen.com/discount/lawncology
Looks like a great product . Is it available for DIY yet ?👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸
Both are about to be on the yardmastery and GCI websites. We are expected to stock warehouses the week after 4th of July.
@@Lawncology Thanks brother.👍🏻
Where can I purchase Hydr8 granular and liquid?

How can purchase this product. I didn't see an option to purchase this own the site?

Where can a home owner buy from. Thanks
Both are about to be on the yardmastery and GCI websites. We are expected to stock warehouses the week after 4th of July.
It looks like a break through product!
Pretty awesome
@@Lawncology My guess is there's a good chance this will be your number one selling product in the line in a year or two. We just visited SLC, Dino Natl Monument and Flaming Gorge on the Green River, Utah is so beautiful. Cheers
@@matthodel946 Dino is cool huh? I go out there every 2 weeks or so to off road. Vernal is one of my favorite places
How does this Hydr8 product compare to the liquid Hydretain product? Hydretain helped me out tremendously last summer when my neighbors were all browning out and my yard was lush.
Two different modes of action leading to water conservation and more lush green grass in times of drought
I can drive down and pick up a skid (50 bags) as soon as it's available, hopefully it's under 2 tons
I can set aside a pallet of 40lb bags for you. We’ve got another load coming in next week
Could this product be used as a top dressing for an Over seed?? Looks to me like it might work for that..
Yes amazingly well. I’ll do some vids with it showing germ in cups
@@Lawncology Will it be available to DIY guys in September?
Your lawn looks fantastic and the recovery in those areas are very impressive !
I used the material to recover snow mold as well. It allowed the bentgrass to fill in 2x faster than untreated
Wishing I had this already. So much money spent in water trying to keep grass alive
Both are about to be on the yardmastery and GCI websites. We are expected to stock warehouses the week after 4th of July.
When does the Hydro 8 come out? I went on the Yard Mastery website and didn’t see anything about it.
John, will this be available for Oregon customers? I noticed that I can not buy a 4x1 gallon mix and match anymore due to not shipping to Oregon. What changed there? Just Oregon things?
Oregon is a difficult state these days but yes, this is fine
Take my money
I need this for my Bermuda!! In far west Texas!! Where do we buy!
Be checking back. Yardmastery and GCI turf
I can use 5 bags of 40 lb where do I get it
60k feet. Also where can I find the liquid
Let’s get you some. Shoot me an email.
@@Lawncology sounds great thank you sir!
I can’t find your email, I even did the soil test reading and recommendations. 😂 which has been helping tremendously thank you. I will look for it in the morning while drinking a cup of black!
@@monkeyslawncareandgardenin473 answers@lawncology.com
I’ve really enjoyed my Irrigreen system, but man their customer service is…well, they could care less. In a previous video, you mentioned them producing an alternative nozzle. They said it would be released late April/early May. Two follow-up emails to them in June with zero response. Previously the controller failed, it took emailing 8 different employees before someone replied. If they don’t acknowledge their massive shortcomings when it comes to customer service, failure is imminent.
Let me see what I can find out for you.
My lawn is crying for this 😢 the heat in NC is nuts right now!
Soon enough you’ll be able to grab this
How does electric vs gas make grass better?
It doesn’t. It makes my personal experience better. I felt that the toro 60v was underpowered and left alot of grass clippings behind whether you mulched or bagged. The battery ran out fast. The blower would only run for 8 minutes. The string trimmer was ok, but the head drive unit didn’t have enough torque for bigger jobs.0
take my money 💰
Let’s get it out there and you’ll love it
What about using this when overseeding??
Yes and yes and yes again
@@Lawncology so reading between the lines I assume ur answer is yes??
Can’t wait to give this a try.
You won’t be disappointed
I need this! My KBG is stuggling so bad this summer
You’ll coast through
I got my first gallon recently, it’s been unusually hot in Texas. We hit 80 in the end of February. I put the liquid down about two weeks ago for the first time. In a week we noticed the difference. Even using other moisture mangers I’ve had some dry spots that burn off. With the little rain and watering once a week the lawn looks great. No dry spots at all yet. If it keeps up I’ll just be moving to twice a week watering but that will be it. Nice product for my clay soil. The water normally runs off, now it appears to be sticking better. Thanks John.
So glad to hear it!!!
Where did you get it from?
How when it’s not available yet?
@@localppc242 from green county fertilizer, I had been waiting and had a pre-order in. I was lucky enough to get one of the first gallons available when the labels printed. I had heard about it on the Professionals forums.
Done. Looking forward.
Take my money!!
lol. This will save money and stress for sure.
You need a Tesla trimmer.😂
More fun; a small riding lawnmower. 😂
Would be interested to see a control patch of grass that only gets water vs water and hydr8 🤔
I have an area
Will this be available to ship to Oregon?
Yes
Looks to be an exciting addition to my program. Also may be really key in reducing how much water I feel like I pour into this lawn. I’m not overwatering, but being able to reduce would be nice. 💦
Hold color longer between irrigation events
Is this a product that will be available through Yard mastery? If not please tell me how you buy I’m very interested in this for seeding time! Love Greene County products you guys rock
Yes it is
@@Lawncologynice I’ll keep my eyes open for it
Would this replace or compliment hydretain?
Different modes of action that can work together or independently
@@Lawncology Please explain. What's the difference between hydretain and your product? How are they similar? How are they different? Help me spend my money. Why yours over theirs?
@@JamieWardHD Hydretain is primarily a humectant designed to rewet atmospherically. It’s a sugar alcohol compound that attracts water very well. A co-block polymer has the ability to move water through the soil profile and attach “heads” to soil particles to attract water. This allows for movement of water and greater root usage. I see Hydretain like a lid for moisture. It keeps moisture from moving up and out.
The heat is killing us in southern Indiana. I need to buy this product now!
Be watching for the online store announcements
How good would this be for seeding/ as a covering for Overseeing?
Excellent
@@Lawncology perfect, I am overseeding the backyard this fall, and I am always looking for alternatives to put over the seed that help retain water, add good material to the soil, but also don’t introduce weed seeds.
@@ahastar1141 this is a great option
@@Lawncology I can’t wait to get my hands on some!
JP, I'd love to get granular product down when I do my 10k sqft reseed this fall. Would you recommend or is this just dry spots?
It’s perfect for seeding
@@Lawncology what's the shelf life? Also ballpark on sqft a 40lb bag will cover? Thanks!
@@THEakaZeroTime 40lb bag on standard rate will do 10k feet. I’d say for seeding you may want to double that. Roll the bag and keep it dry, it’ll last a long time.
If it can do what Hydretain does for less $$ ill give it a try for sure. IN Texas i need all the help i can get
Different mode of action to get to the same result, healthy turf with less water
This is way better than hydretain!
@@TheObserver567 I hope to get to try it out!
Hello from downstream water Riverton Utah. Thumbs up JP
Hey buddy!
I totally need this! I've been battling my backyard drying out every summer for the past 3 years....
Makes a huge difference
I want to see your yard with an application of a pound of N. I'm kinda afraid you'll be mowing twice a day
Maybe I’ll do that this year
What’s the price on the different packages?
Prices will post here in the next week or so for DIY pro pricing is available for the bulk sized material
@@Lawncology - thanks, I am in the DIY group ;)
This looks exciting John.
Pretty awesome material.
👍🏻🇺🇸
I guess it's that time of year
Never went battery but my family did and I don't like the stuff. I have an obsession for small two stroke still stuff. I seem to acquire them. The Kombi stuff is great! I have a KM 131, but honestly the KM 55 and KM 56 head units work great for just about everything. How do you like your scissor attachment? You should do a review on that specifically. I am going the opposite as you on the fert. I probably will only put down 1 pound in total this year. Switched to your liquids, and got a good backpack spayer. I absolutely love your liquids! Turf seems to really react well to Greene Effect and RGS. Would you do Greene Charge over Greene Punch for your standard fert? I live in Davis County, BTW.
